King Memorial Hall The King Memorial Hall was built and donated to the Parish in 1925. David McKenzie King, originally from Garrowood, made his fortune in Brighton, England, and donated the capital for the construction of the hall.

He also purchased the farm of Cairnhill in order that the revenue from the farm would pay for the upkeep of the hall.

It was designed by Mr D McMillan of Aberdeen and built with stone from Avochie, Rothiemay and Rhynie.

Mr King died on 9th May 1929 and a memorial tablet, subscribed for by his employees in Brighton, was erected in the hall.

In 1998 the hall was damaged by fire and underwent an extensive refurbishment programme to restore it to its former glory.

To commemorate the millennium, the Grange Community Association erected a plaque at the hall and planted a tree.  They also put up a bench at the front of the hall so people can sit and enjoy the beautiful view.
